Mac sound scheme is a port of Mac OS X sounds for Windows. For Windows PC users, these sounds may be interesting but OS X fans will feel right at home. This theme was initially designed for Windows XP, but can be applied to any version of Windows. It contains 44 sound files.
I've just done (with difficulty) a Windows 7 installation via Boot Camp on my hot new Mac Quad. But when I use Photoshop Elements for Windows- the problem may occur with other Windows applications too but I haven't tried them yet- I'm getting frequent blackouts and recoveries accompanied by the now slightly infuriating error message, 'DISPLAY DRIVER STOPPED RESPONDING AND HAS RECOVERED.

Display driver Radeon ATI family stopped responding and has successfully recovered.' I'm also getting frequent spotty screens which suggest compatability problems. Are other people troubled by this? Seems to me that this is a problem crying out for an Apple software fix. But other people may have an answer now. I am having the same problems with my 27 i5 with vista, same black screen and display driver bubble when booted in vista, usually when i play videos etc,i have turned down the screen res to 16 bit instead of 32 bit in the driver config in windows and this has stopped the problem, when i turn back to 32 bit @2560x1440 it pixelates again and goes black screen so i figure i will leave it at 16bit so far, hope this helps, have tried driver update and all the other recommended tips but this works for me,regs dave.
I run a 27' quad iMac on Windows 7 and BC. For the most part it is OK but certain programs are glitchy. The vendors suggested uploading the latest ATI drivers for my Radeon 4850. Both Boot Camp and Windows tech support people tried to download the latest ATI drivers to my computer w/o success. Finally, an iMac 'manager' told me that the latest ATI drivers wouldn't install on my computer because the were not Boot Camp drivers.
ATI confirmed this. The latest available ATI driver is Boot Camp XP.
ATI says Apple must request that ATI provide a Windows 7 Boot Camp driver. Apple apparently hasn't done this. I wrote Apple 'Feedback' and suggest that others do so too. After numerous discussions with Apple, I was finally told that the only way to resolve the 'Display Driver Stopped Responding and Has Recovered' in Windows 7 on my mid-2008 iMac, (or in my case, the screen often going black requiring a reboot), is to do a new installation of Windows by starting from square one. This means restoring the hard drive to one disk image, re-partitioning, and in my case re-installing Vista then upgrading to Windows 7.
We all know this takes about 6 hours- NOT WORTH IT, just for the 10% of applications I run in Windows. And I have NO confidence this will resolve the problem. I suspect this is a hardware problem that Apple is neglecting to address because they did not adequately test an upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista on the iMac. I'm convinced it's a hardware problem that seems quite prevalent. Has anyone experienced this same issue, and any success getting help?
